117 Lomia is a rather large Main belt asteroid. It has a very dark surface and primitive carbonaceous composition. It was discovered by A. Borrelly on September 12, 1871. Occultations by Lomia have so far been observed twice, in 2000 and 2003. Retrieved from "http://en.wikipedia.org/"
