There are two species. * Green-backed Firecrown, Sephanoides sephaniodes The Green-backed Firecrown occurs widely in Argentina and Chile, but the Juan Fernández Firecrown is found solely on Isla Róbinson Crusoe, one of a three-island archipelago belonging to Chile.
