Holotype: OMNH R3934, adult ♂, collected by YMS Research team on 28 July 1987.
Type locality: “Yora-Naiin, Izuhara-cho, Shimoagata-gun, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan”.

Gloydius tsushimaensis, or the Tsushima Island pitviper, is a species of venomous snake in the family Viperidae.[3][4] The species is endemic to Tsushima Island in Japan.[2]
