The striped boarfish, Evistias acutirostris, is an armorhead of the genus Evistias, found around Japan, Hawaii, Australia, Lord Howe Island, Norfolk Island, the Kermadec Islands, and rarely in New Zealand, at depths below 30 m. Its length is between 30 and 90 cm.
