Note: Some authorities accept Calorophus Labill., Nov. Holl. Pl. 2: 78 (1806) as a synonym of this genus (Tropicos, 2015). However, this is not accepted by Govaerts et al. (2015) and Briggs and Linder (2009), therefore it has its own page on Wikispecies.

Hypolaena is a plant genus in the family Restionaceae, described as a genus in 1810.[1][2] The entire genus is endemic to Australia.[3]
