Journal of Algebraic Combinatorics (ISSN 0925-9899 print version, ISSN 1572-9192 electronic version) is an international mathematical journal dedicated to the field of algebraic combinatorics. It is published bimonthly by Springer-Verlag. In a July 2017 press release, the journal's four editors in chief announced that they would not be renewing their contracts, instead forming their own open access journal called Algebraic Combinatorics due to their feeling that publishers were charging higher fees while providing little value.[1]
