Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, often referred to simply as Journal of Physics D or abbreviated as J.Phys.D, is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Institute of Physics (IOP) in the United Kingdom. Its coverage includes five main focus areas: magnetism; photonics and semiconductors; plasmas and plasma-surface interactions; applied surfaces and interfaces; and the structure and properties of matter.

The current editor-in-chief is Pallab Bhattacharya of the University of Michigan, USA.
