Note: Applelhans et al. (2014) find this genus to be embedded in Melicope, but the required combinations have not been made.

Comptonella is a plant genus endemic to New Caledonia in the subfamily Rutoideae in the family Rutaceae. Molecular phylogenetic analyses suggest that this genus is nested in Melicope.[1]
