Type locality: French Guiana, Cayenne. Leg. Higgins. (Note, doubtful locality, after Ratcliffe, 2014, per Hielkema & Hielkema, 2019; Ratcliffe, 2019).
Synonymy

Jansonella Blackwelder, 1944: 263. [(Superfluous replacement name after Ratcliffe, 2014; as Blackwelder, 1944 thought name was preoccupied by "Jansonia" of Bates, 1891 [non-available, misspelling of Jansenia Chaudoir, 1865]).

Jansonia is a genus of flower chafer belonging to the family scarab beetles, containing the single species Jansonia anceps.[1]
