Note: Schaefer (2007) synonymised this genus under Cucumis possibly in Cucumis sect. Aculeatosi J.H.Kirkbr. (1993), however, the type species has not been satisfactorily dealt with. It could be an synonym of Cucumis oreosyce H. Schaef. (Hassler, 2022), Cucumis subsericeus Hook.f. (Thulin, Heidari & Larsson, 2018) or an accepted combination. This taxon page should remain until the problem is resolved.
