Pituophis deppei, commonly known as the Mexican pine snake, is a species of snake in the family Colubridae. The species is endemic to Mexico, where it occurs in the states of Mexico, Hidalgo, Aguascalientes, Jalisco, Querétaro, Coahuila and Nuevo León.[2]

The species is named in honor of Ferdinand Deppe.

P. d. deppei (A.M.C. Duméril, 1853) – southern Mexican pine snake
P. d. jani (Cope, 1861) – northern Mexican pine snake
