Golden Topminnow

The golden topminnow, Fundulus chrysotus, is a fish of the genus Fundulus native to southern North America. It generally inhabits slow moving or still water with heavy vegetation. It matures at about 10 months and lives for about 2 years. It is a surface feeder, and primarily depends of insects such as small water bugs.
