Pangio is a genus of about 25 species of freshwater fish in the loach family (Cobitidae). In earlier taxonomic schemes it was known as Acanthophthalmus. It is most well known for the kuhlii loach, Pangio kuhlii, which is often kept by aquarists.

These fish are best represented in the Sunda Islands, where 16 of the species inhabit. Other species are known from India and Myanmar.[1]

In 2007, four new species of Pangio were described.[1]
