-----------

Prepotherium is an extinct genus of ground sloths that lived during the Miocene period. Fossils of them have been found in Argentina and Venezuela.
Examples:

* Prepotherium venezuelam (Collins 1934)

Prepotherium differed from Megatherium in being smaller and having a less exaggeratedly convex inferior border of the lower jaw.[1]
