Proplatyarthrus is an extinct genus of actively mobile ground sloth of the family Mylodontidae, endemic to South America.[1]

Taxonomy

Proplatyarthrus was named by Ameghino (1905). It was assigned to Megalonychidae by Carroll (1988.[2]
