Genus: Muraenesox

Muraenesox is a small genus of eels found throughout the Indo-Pacific. It currently has two or three described species as some species have been moved to other genera. Members are found in the Indo West Pacific.[2]

* Muraenesox bagio — Common Pike Conger (Hamilton, 1822)
* Muraenesox cinereus — Daggertooth Pike Conger (Forsskål, 1775)
* Muraenesox yamaguchiensis — Katayama and Takai, 1954 (considered by the World Register of Marine Species to the same species as Muraenesox bagio.[3]
